Primary expertise
Cécile holds extensive experience in general and strategic patents counselling, patent drafting and prosecution, clearance and IP analysis including due diligence and freedom to operate opinions, as well as patent oppositions, administrative limitation and revocation proceedings, infringement analyses and proceedings, and advising in patent litigation, in general and in court.
She represents clients before the Norwegian Industrial Property Office, the EPO and PCT authorities.

She advises national and international clients in particular within industrial chemistry, petro chemistry, oil&gas polymer science, chemical engineering, paper technology and water purification.

Cécile graduated with a Master of Science in Industrial Chemistry from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in 1983. She started work as a scientific assistant at the Norwegian Radium Hospital. In 1985 she joined the Standard Telefon og Kabelfabrik (later Alcatel Cable AS) in 1985 at the department for cable technology and development in Oslo. Her responsibilities were within material technology, production assistance, research and development. From 2000 to 2003 she acted as a country advisor for Nexans AS in China.

Cécile joined Bryn Aarflot in 2004, and has been a partner at the firm since 2010.
