Primary experience

Fredrik has several years of intellectual property experience from his involvement in research and development. He has himself been an inventor on a number of patent applications and has a solid understanding of how to utilize intellectual property actively as a part of a business strategy. Fredrik has worked as a patent attorney since 2017, and advises customers on topics related to material science, mechanics, optics, electronics and nanotechnology.


Fredrik holds a Ph.D. in nanotechnology from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, where he developed a new type of solar cells based on fibrous silicon. His work have been published in a variety of renowned international journals and received international attention in the popular press. In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious Dimitris N. Chorafas Prize in physics for the best natural science doctoral thesis at NTNU. Fredrik also holds an M.Sc. in physics and mathematics from the same university, which he completed in 2011 with a specialization in material physics.
