Jaime is an attorney -at- law admitted to both the Norwegian and the Spanish Bar.

He holds extensive experience in intellectual property law, copyright, unfair competition cases, anti-counterfeiting and customs matters. He is a skilled litigator and intellectual property counsel. He is learned in all IP-law areas, including developing and implementing IPR protection strategies, valuation, trademark clearance, filing and prosecution, as well as trademark oppositions and other administrative procedures and domain name disputes.

He has considerable practice in contractual matters, including technology transfer such as licensing agreements, franchise agreements, distributor agreements as well as all kinds of trademark, copyright and domain name related agreements and assists national and international clients with corporate law questions, including registration in the Register of Business Enterprises.

Jaime’s area of expertise covers IPR law, ICT law, Marketing law and EU law.

He is fluent in Norwegian, English, French and Spanish.


Jaime has a law degree from the University of Granada (Spain) with legal studies from the University of Poitiers (France), a LL.M. in ICT law from the University of Oslo (Norway) and a specialization in patent, trademark and design law from the University of Oslo.

He has a deep professional interest for IPR law and has written articles of relevance to the profession for publication in prestigious international publications.

Jaime joined Bryn Aarflot in 2017 after working as an attorney with the Oslo based law firm Codex Advokat Oslo AS, the IPR consultancy firm Tandbergs Patentkontor AS and the collecting society Norwaco. He has also worked in the European Commission in Brussels with international trade matters.
